All the rooms are stuffy, NO WINDOWS in any of them and the AC only works after some time. Still no windows tho (and that was the ‘nicest room’). The night receptionist was kind and he upgraded me to a slightly nicer room cause he could see I was sick (from the bus). Second, when I arrived at the hostel, I was showed to a stuffy room with a terrible smell, no windows and very VERY hot. As a solo female traveler I try to avoid having to take taxis alone at night in cities I’ve never been to before. Upon my arrival in Santa Marta at night NO ONE was waiting for me. Once I realized my bus was running late (always in Colombia), I called the reception to tell them.
